New York Times Covers ECBAWM’s Efforts to Defend Former FBI Agents Illegally Fired Without Cause

  • September 16, 2025

On August 8, 2025, former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Christopher Meyer and Special Agent Walter Giardina were summarily removed from federal service without notice, explanation, or due process. Between them, Meyer and Giardina dedicated more than 55 years to serving the United States as decorated combat veterans and federal law enforcement officers. Their abrupt and unexplained termination followed false public claims about their roles in politically sensitive investigations—claims that are demonstrably false.

Meyer and Giardina built distinguished careers marked by integrity, impartiality, and exceptional service. They disrupted terrorist plots, dismantled multi-billion-dollar fraud schemes, and carried out critical overseas missions in defense of the United States. Each received top performance ratings, multiple commendations, and recognition from the FBI, Department of Justice, and U.S. military. Neither man was ever investigated, charged, or disciplined before being dismissed from federal service.

ECBAWM, with co-counsel at the Alden Law Group, is honored to represent Mr. Meyer and Mr. Giardina as they work to correct the record and pursue justice for violations of their constitutional and statutory rights.
