As reported in Business Insider, partner Ilann M. Maazel spoke at the New York City Bar Association about defending the country from “a war on the rule of law.” Maazel was a panelist at the meeting, saying “We should bring as many lawsuits as we possibly can to stop the administration from doing what it can.”

The article describes how the group was particularly concerned with the actions of big law firms targeted by President Trump’s executive orders. “It’s not too late to change your mind,” Maazel said, while urging the lawyers in the room to step up and help people being targeted.

Vince Warren, Executive Director of the Center for Constitutional Rights, Ben Berwick, Head of the Election Law & Litigation Team & Counsel at Protect Democracy,  and Shira A. Scheindlin, a retired U.S. District Court Judge, also spoke at the event titled, “Defending Justice.”
