Sadie Cook

Sadie joined ECBAWM in 2025 as a Legal Assistant. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Legal Assistant at the NYC based legal services organization Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS). At VOLS, she worked across the Microenterprise, Benefits Law, Incarcerated Mother’s Law, and Senior Law Projects to further the organization’s mission of closing the access to justice gap through free civil legal services. This included handling new client intake, assisting with cases, drafting pro bono resources, planning and facilitating client outreach clinics, and upkeeping community-based partner relationships. Sadie has additional experience supporting a California based criminal defense attorney, where she provided copy-edit and administrative assistance on criminal appeals filings and writs of habeas corpus.

Sadie graduated from Wesleyan University in 2024 with a B.A. in Sociology and Government. Outside of the legal field, she has additional experience working as a Research Assistant at the Wesleyan Assessment Lab, interning with non-profits such as the World Affairs Council of Seattle, and as a leader of youth outdoor education/hiking trips. She was awarded honors distinction for her senior thesis in Sociology.
