Maggie Turner

Maggie Turner joined the firm in 2025.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Turner was a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, where she focused on voting rights.  At the Civil Rights Division, Ms. Turner’s work included a 10-day bench trial in the District of Arizona, in which the United States and private plaintiffs challenged provisions of Arizona law involving documentary proof of citizenship and birthplace.  Ms. Turner has completed clerkships with Judge Carol Bagley Amon on U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and Judge Ronald M. Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.  She was also an associate at Hecker Fink LLP, where her practice focused on gender discrimination, prisoners’ rights, appeals, and congressional investigations.

Ms. Turner received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2020, where she served as a Notes Editor for the Michigan Law Review.  As a student attorney in the Federal Appellate Litigation Clinic, Ms. Turner briefed and argued a successful habeas petition in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Ms. Turner also completed an internship with the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, where she focused on public corruption and election crimes.  Ms. Turner received her B.A. in Political Philosophy, Public Policy, and Law from the University of Virginia.
