Max Selver joined the firm in 2020. He previously worked as an attorney at Youth Represent, where he represented young people who were denied jobs or facing eviction based on criminal records in both individual and class action cases. He also served as a facilitator of the Youth Justice Research Collaborative, a participatory action research project studying the implementation of New York’s Raise the Age law. Prior to working at Youth Represent, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Analisa Torres and the Honorable James C. Francis IV in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Selver graduated magna cum laude from the New York University School of Law in 2016, where he was an Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Fellow. During law school, he participated in the Children’s Rights Clinic and worked at the Brooklyn Defender Services Family Defense Practice, the ACLU Criminal Law Reform Project, the Legal Aid Society Juvenile Rights Practice, and Outten & Golden LLP. He also served as a Notes Editor on the N.Y.U. Law Review. Mr. Selver received a B.A. in Government cum laude from Harvard College in 2011.
