- February 6, 2026
On April 4, 2026, Eric Abrams, ECBAWM Associate, was a panelist at the Roosevelt House in the Public Policy Institute at Hunter College. The discussed centered around “The Future of Conversion Therapy Bans in the US” and Eric was in dialogue with a medical doctor, a community organizer, and a law professor. They discussed their lead role in drafting an amicus brief alongside Advocates for Trans Equality (A4TE) on behalf of transgender, nonbinary, and cisgender survivors of conversion therapy in Chiles v. Salazar, a case pending in the U.S. Supreme Court that is set to decide the constitutionality of conversion therapy bans in over 20 states.
We are proud of Eric’s unwavering advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals and their broadreaching defense of civil rights for queer communities.
