Ama Boham

Ama joined ECBAWM in 2025 as a Legal Assistant. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked as Senior Paralegal at Youth Represent, providing holistic reentry support for youth impacted by the criminal legal system. There, she handled hundreds of client intakes, supporting with various legal matters such as criminal court mitigation, security guard licensing administrative appeals, and drafting name change petitions. She also assisted YR’s strategic litigation practice, engaged in extensive policy research and advocacy, and facilitated community workshops across the city.

Ama’s prior experience includes working with the Public Welfare Foundation, the Food Fix Campaign, and tutoring incarcerated students with the Cornell Prison Education Program. Outside of the legal field, she also co-authored Breast Wellness: Tools to Prevent and Heal from Breast Cancer (2025).

A former Division I track and field captain, school record holder, and Ivy League champion, Ama graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University’s Brooks School of Public Policy in 2023, earning a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management with a minor in Crime, Prisons, Education & Justice. She was awarded the John Siliciano Student Leadership Award and served as Degree Marshal for her school’s graduating class.
