John Minoza

John joined ECBAWM in 2024 as the firm’s Controller. John has a proven track record of accounting, financial and analytical experience in multiple industries. He also has a vast history of designing, building and improving financial systems and resources in every role he has been in. Prior to joining ECBAWM, John worked as the Assistant Controller at Otterbourg PC overseeing the firm’s accounting and finance team. In this role, he was able to build out a comprehensive accounting and reporting structure that allowed the firm to increase efficiency and productivity along with other financial metrics. John also worked as the Accounting Manager are Universal Yums where he was integral at building the company’s financial and operational infrastructure. John has also worked in a mix of governmental and non-profit organizations. As an accounting and finance professional, John’s main passion is financial literacy and education. As a tax auditor for New York State, he was able to serve both the state and the community by being part of the taxpayer education program as well as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for New York City and the State of New York. As part of the accounting team at Valley Health System and Heritage Financial Credit Union, John made sure to promote financial literacy both internally and in the community.

John graduated from Dominican University New York where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting as well as his triple concentration master’s degree in accounting, management and health care management. John always welcomes and enjoys the opportunity to integrate his passion for sports, nature, culture and community in everything he does.
