Liz Perez

Liz joined ECBAWM as a Legal Assistant in 2016, after graduating from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Liz is a New Yorker with a longtime love of public service. Prior to coming to ECBAWM, she worked in a variety of fields. She worked at MFY Legal Services for over 8 years as an Administrative Assistant providing administrative support and data entry skills across the office and supported office operations as part of the Administrative/Finance Team. Often she was the clients’ first point of contact with the organization, assessing their needs, and working to ensure that they were connected to the program that can best help them. She also worked as a Case Manager for Project Renewal, a leading non-profit organization with the mission of ending the cycle of homelessness. As a Case Manager, she assisted individuals and families to renew their lives with health, homes, and jobs. Liz’s experience and interest combined with her Bachelor of Science degree from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at CUNY align well with ECBAWM’s unique blend of practices in civil rights, complex commercial disputes, attorney ethics, and criminal defense. Liz is grateful that her position lets her work with every member of ECBAWM’s team, and particularly enjoys opportunities to bring her bilingual Spanish skills to bear in helping clients of the firm.
